Bridges Breeze
Friday, January 19, 2024
We love to see our Bridges Bears each and Every Day! Attendance is Essential!
“Reading is essential for those who seek to rise above the ordinary.” — Jim Rohn.
Outdoor play is important because:
- Improves well-being and resilience
- Improves physical and mental health
- Provides children with the opportunity to develop a life-long appreciation of the natural world
- Has a positive impact on educational attainment
- Gives children the chance to explore the natural environment and have adventures
Please continue to send layers of clothing over the winter months so your child is prepared! If you may need any assistance with winter clothing, please reach out to your child's classroom teacher.
***Mrs. Zarn has all the items she needs for STEM! Thank you!
On Monday, January 22nd, we will be having our Achievement and Integration Literacy event at The Blue Earth County Library from 5:00-6:30. There will be many stations and Domino's Pizza for dinner. We have about 200 students/families enrolled for this great event. It is an open house format so you can stay for the whole time or for a part of the evening! Here is the link to get started on your very own library card: Click here
January and winter are times we discuss building each other up. How can you spread Kindness and fill someone's bucket? How can you add on to a snow creation and make it better? How can you continue to be your best?
How we determine inside or outside for the day!
Staff Spotlight for the week
Mrs. Julie - Paraprofessional
Mrs. Julie is so excited to see how much our students grow every single day! Outside of work she loves spending time with family and being outdoors as much as possible when the weather is nice!
Mrs. Frayne - Speech Pathologist
Ms. D - Paraprofessional
Ms. D is excited to get to know our students even more this year as they learn and grow. Outside of work, she enjoys time with her boyfriend and time at the lake.
Families -
On Friday, January 26th, many of our 4th and 5th graders will be competing in our Bridges Spelling Bee. One will be moving on to the Regional spelling bee. Our 3rd graders will be able to watch the spelling bee to learn from this incredible experience. If you are a parent of a participant in the spelling bee, you can join us in the Bridges auditorium starting at 12:30 pm! Thank you for encouraging and working with your child to try out something new and to boost language, spelling and confidence! This year, Mrs. Zarn, will be our pronouncer!
