Social Media Reminder
Just a friendly reminder: St. Thomas More students are not allowed to use or engage in social media while at school and will not be allowed to possess any form of social media account. Social media and the activity on social media is the sole responsibility of the student’s parent or guardian. The school will not involve itself with any social media activity involving students outside of the school day. (Policy on pages 21-22 of the Family Handbook)
Please be vigilant with your children and their internet activity! We want to make sure that all STM students are healthy and safe!
STAR Testing
Between January 8th - January 19th, all STM students in grades K-8 will be completing tests on their reading and math levels. It is very important that all students come to school well-rested, and prepared to do their best on their tests! All students who meet their growth target will be awarded an STM achievement award! We know all of our students will do their very best!
GRACE News
2024-25 Admissions & Enrollment
Preparations are being finalized for admissions and enrollment for the 2024-25 academic year!
Current GRACE families will receive an email on January 26, 2024 with information and a link to re-enroll current students for the 2024-25 academic year.
- Re-enroll children who are current students by completing the online enrollment process in its entirety.
- If current GRACE families have additional (new) children, they wish to join the school in fall 2024, after re-enrolling current students, submit an online admission application for each additional child. All admission applications undergo review.
- Re-enrollment is specific to the current student at his/her current GRACE school. If a family is seeking another GRACE school for the 2024-25 academic year, the family will need to submit an admission application for each child to that GRACE school beginning January 28, 2024.
More information will be available in next week’s (January 17) newsletter.
Wisconsin Tax Deduction for Tuition Expense
Tax legislation signed into law gives Wisconsin taxpayers the opportunity to deduct private school tuition expenses from their taxable income. A subtraction from income is allowed for tuition expenses that are paid for any of the GRACE schools. Parents/guardians are eligible for a maximum deduction of $4,000 per child in grades K-8 and $10,000 per child in grades 9-12. Students transitioning from eighth to ninth grade are eligible for both deductions. Per state guidance, any amount spent on tuition and book fees are eligible for the deduction. Book fees include digital books, such as laptops or tablet fees issued by the school.
Tuition information for tax preparation is available to GRACE families online via GRACE’s enrollment management system, TADS.
- The TADS Household Paid Tuition Tax Report will provide a breakdown of payments made for the specified household’s tuition account during the tax year.
- When gathering information for tax preparation, GRACE families are to access their TADS account | select Billing | Billing Account Number | Reports | Household Paid Tuition Tax Report | enter the tax year (i.e. 2023) and submit.
- A quick link to this Report also appears at the TADS Billing Account – Tuition & Fees screen to access the Household Paid Tuition Tax Report.
- If you have questions or require assistance, please call TADS Family Support at (800) 477-8237 or GRACE at (920) 499-7330, option 2.
