SGB Week Ahead
December 11, 2023
VALUE of the MONTH: STEWARDSHIP
Principal's Message
Dear SGB Families,
Thank you to so many families who came out last Monday for our SGB Sing-Along! It was such a fun night and we were all so happy to see everyone enjoy the evening our youngest students prepared for you!
Also, a big thank you to all the families who sent in a toy/gift for our 4-year old friends in Haverstraw's Head Start Program. Last Friday, SGB students worked together to wrap all the presents and we will be delivering them for the holidays on 12/19. SGB Students felt the joy that comes with being of service to others!
✋ (If you'd like to scroll down, you can come back for this part another time!)
When my family moved from NJ to Rockland County, we decided that we would remain a part of our NJ parish. Many parts of our life were changing at the time, but I felt it was very important to keep our faith's foundation and stay a part of the loving parish community we had called home at Church of the Presentation. I've never regretted that decision, (despite a longer car ride).
One of my favorite things my parish does as part of their Feast Day of Our Lady of Guadalupe is invite a Mariachi Band to play for this very special Mass. Today, during the 10am Mass parishioners were treated to beautiful and very reverent Mexican music in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. I've included a short clip from today's Mass below. I hope you enjoy!
SGB will celebrate Our Lady of Guadalupe (see below) on Tuesday at the 9am Mass. The Folk Group will lead us in the the song. If you have a moment on Monday, please share the beautiful song below with your children so they can sing it with us at Mass on Tuesday!
Thank you for all you do to make SGB such a special place for our students.
Have a wonderful week!
God bless,
Ms. Clarke
