Three GNPS Students Named 2023 Regeneron STS Scholars
South High seniors Dana Kagan, Amit Saha, and Amber Sun are among 300 Scholars in the 2023 Regeneron Science Talent Search, one of the nation’s most prestigious science and math competitions. Each Scholar receives $2,000, with a matching amount for their schools. On Jan. 24, 40 of the top 300 Scholars will be announced as Finalists and will advance to the national competition. Congratulations to our Scholars and their science research teachers/advisors, Nicole Spinelli and Dr. James Truglio!
GNPS Musicians Perform in the All-County Music Festival
The Great Neck Public Schools was well-represented at the 2023 All-County Festival! All-County ensembles included 124 GNPS musicians in grades 5-12 from Baker, Kennedy, Lakeville, and Saddle Rock elementary schools; North and South middle schools; and North and South high schools. Musicians were selected by a committee of music teachers from throughout Nassau County based on individual performances in the All-County solo competition this past spring. GNPS participants joined their fellow musicians for county-wide rehearsals with world-renowned conductors earlier this month, and the culminating concerts were held at the Tilles Center from Jan. 8-15. Congratulations to all our participants and their music educators!
