Pictures for Día de Muertos Ofrenda
Thank you to the many STM moms who helped decorate and assemble our Día de Muertos Ofrenda! If your child(ren) would like to bring in photos of the loved ones in your family who have passed away, the teachers will allow students to place these on our Ofrenda. Please ensure that your student's name is on the back of the photo so that we can return the photos to you after the celebration. We will be bringing our photos and loved ones to Mass with us on November 8th to pray for their souls!
Attendance Reminder
Please remember that anytime your child is late to school, or leaves early, they must be signed in or out of school by a parent or an approved adult. This includes if your children are tardy to school in the morning. Please DO NOT simply just drop off your child at the front doors, please come in so we can have you sign your child in or out. Thank you!
Dress Code Policy Update
Beginning on Wednesday, November 1st, St. Thomas More School will be implementing an additional two rules related to our dress code:
- Students must have their natural fingernails. No plastic, acrylic, or fake nails will be allowed for students. Addtionally, only modest nail polish may be used on natural nails.
- Any jewlery worn by students must be modest and school appropriate.
These changes are to ensure that students can be successful at school in a healthy and safe learning environment for all. Any students found to be in violation of the above rules will have the following consequences:
- Warning; parents are notified and student is expected to return the school the following day with the correct dress code in place
- Student is sent home to correct the dress code infraction
- A parent meeting with the Principal
Thank you very much for helping ensure our students have a safe, healthy, and God-honoring school experience!
NEW Morning Entry
Beginning on Monday, October 30th, students will be entering school at Door #3 instead of Door #4. The doors will open at 8:00 and will close at 8:15 like usual. Cars are still asked to please pull all the way toward the garage doors to ensure there is not a long back up of cars waiting on Grove Street. You are always welcome to park and walk your students to the entry door!
Unique STM Dates
We are excited to share that STM students will be receiving a few extra hours this school year! The following dates will be FULL SCHOOL DAYS (8:15 - 3:15) for St. Thomas More Students:
- Friday, November 17 - 8:15 - 3:15
Please note these dates and times in your calendars! The GRACE schedule lists them as Early Release days, however they are FULL SCHOOL DAYS for STM students!
