Principal's Message
Dear Dolvin Families –
I am delighted to share some exciting news with you! I received a phone call on Monday from State Superintendent Richard Woods’ office. Dolvin is one of 155 schools in Georgia that is being recognized as a Literacy Leader. This was awarded to schools with 90%+ of third grade students reading on/above grade level, based on Milestones scores. At Dolvin, we had 95.3% of our third grade students meet this goal! You can read the press release from the Georgia Department of Education HERE. There will be a ceremony to celebrate honorees this upcoming Tuesday at Crabapple Crossing Elementary School.
Your proud principal,
Karen

Students are not permitted to contact their guardians via a PCD during school hours.
If a student is using their cell phone during school hours, the phone will be confiscated by the teacher and a parent will have to come collect it from the office.
Students are permitted to use smart watches as watches only. If students are using watches to play games, text, make phone calls, etc, the watch will be confiscated by the teacher and a parent will have to come collect it from the office.

FREE AND REDUCED-PRICE MEAL BENEFITS
To continue free or reduced-price meal benefits for students each household must complete a new application every year. Free and Reduced Meal Benefits ended on September 20, 2023, if the household has not reapplied for SY 2023-2024. Applications are still being accepted at www.fulton.schoollunchapp.com or by paper application turned in to the school cafeteria manager. Be sure to list all the students in the household on the application. If there is an interruption in benefits or the household does not reapply, the household is responsible for payment of meals until a Free and Reduced Application is approved. Keep in mind, the application may take up to 10-days to process. If you have any questions, please call the Fulton County School Nutrition Program – Meal Eligibility Desk at (470)254-2220.
