Art Night!

We had a fabulous evening on Wednesday at art night! Mrs. Thompson led our artists to produce masterpieces! Thank you to the Springfield Family and Friends, members of the Springfield Staff, and our families for participating!

IREAD3 Testing Coming Up

Attention 2nd & 3rd Grade Parents!

The IREAD3 test window opens Monday, March 4. The majority of our 2nd and 3rd graders will take the test during the week of March 4. Please make sure your child is at school on time and all day during this time. Students test better in familar settings with familar faces and so we want them to be able to test in the most comfortable setting possible.

Save the Date - Thursday, March 7!

March 7th is an early release day. Elementary students will dismiss at 12:00.

We will hold our Student Led Conferences 12:15-7:15 that evening. Please plan to come with your child during those hours to have them lead you in their learning!

Kindergarten Round Up will be held this day as well! Registration will be done online beginning that day, and, if you need assistance, please stop by the school on Thursday, March 7, 12:30-6:30.

Also, Krueger Middle School and Barker Middle School will hold Wolf Pack Roundup 5-6 that evening for incoming 7th graders!

Items to Keep at Home

Please remember to have your child keep electronics, toys, and stuffed animals at home. Students need to be able to concentrate and excel at school.

Appropriate School Shoes

Please make sure your child is wearing school appropriate shoes each day. All shoes need to have a back to them. Students are walking around the building, participating in PE, and on the playground and we want to make sure they are safe! Slippers, slides, etc. are not to be worn at school. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Springfield Volunteers

Interested in volunteering in the classroom, library, with special projects, or on a field trip? Please make sure you have an updated volunteer form on file. The forms are good for 3 years. You will also need to scan your license in the Springfield office prior to turning in your volunteer form.

Absences & Dismissal Plans

If your child is going to be absent, please call the office by 9:00 AM. If you do not reach someone, please leave a message.

Please remember to call by 1:30 if you have a change in dismissal plans - i.e. riding the bus instead of being picked up. After 1:30, we cannot guarantee that the student and teacher will be able to get the information.
