To the Blue Hills community:

I hope that you have a wonderful holiday break and a happy new year as we usher in a year that at one time in my life seemed incredibly distant - 2020!

A few highlights from the last few weeks at BHR:

The winter athletic season has begun! Good luck to all the BHR teams!
The Boosters Holiday Fair was a great success! Thank you to the Boosters for all you do for our school.
The first superintendent/principal coffee hour was held on December 10th - another will be scheduled early in 2020. We hope to see you there!
The renovation project continues to inch closer to its end - our front entrance is back and looks great!

What makes BHR a special place?

Our teachers work hard, every day! Here, Ms. Wariboko (Social Studies) is leading our teachers in one of our teacher-led Professional Development sessions on 12/12/19, "Conversation about Race." Our teachers educate themselves and engage in learning to better facilitate learning for our students.

John and Abigail Adams Scholarship Ceremony

52 of our seniors were awarded the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship at a ceremony on December 11, 2019. These seniors receive tuition credits for any Massachusetts public college or university. Thanks to our guidance staff for setting up the ceremony! Many thanks to our state representatives who joined us - Representative William C. Galvin, Senator Michael Rush, and Senator Walter Timilty. A special thanks to our Academic Director, Dr. Paul Bavuso, for his keynote address, and for DSC Chair Tom Polito (Dedham) for his attendance and support.

Congratulations to all of our seniors who received this scholarship! Great Work!
