Principal's Note
Dear Caregivers, Parents, and Families,
As we approach the end of 2023, it's hard to believe that this is our last newsletter of the year. Reflecting on the first four months of the school year, I am filled with immense pride and happiness.
In these months, our students have achieved so much. They've made new friends, connected with their teachers, and learned innovative phonics strategies. Their skills in mathematics are impressive, and they've made significant strides in becoming leaders of themselves. Additionally, we've had the opportunity to celebrate various cultural events and learn about winter holidays from around the world.
I want to extend my deepest appreciation for entrusting us with your little otters every day. Wishing you all a joyful holiday season and a happy new year.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on January 2nd!
Warm regards,
Mrs. Bell
My Favorite Things
We've had a few parents reach out asking for a "wish list" for our teachers and staff for the holiday season, so we put together a document for all the MV staff. We hope you find these suggestions helpful.
(If you're on a computer, click on the 3 lines on left side to see the outline of the document to find the teacher/staff you're looking for)
It's the thought that counts, and any gesture of appreciation will surely be well-received.

Hot Chocolate + Cookie Event
Tuesday, December 19 | 8:30 - 12:30
The one-day-only student activity is replacing the two day December crafting event. Unfortunately, there are not enough substitutes to support the extra prep time for the teachers, but we still want to show our support and appreciation during this busy time of year. We're in need of caregivers to help make the hot chocolate and pass out the cookies.

Lil Shopper's Shopping Event
December 22nd
The Meadow View SCO is bringing a miniature shopping event to our Meadow View students. Students will have a chance to purchase holiday items for their loved one's through the Lil Shopper's program.
Yes, this is an opportunity for student's to shop without a loved one having to drive them to a store and pretend to not see what the student wants to purchase. If you want your student to be able to shop it is the caregivers responsibility to send the student to school with money in an envelope marked Lil Shopper's event. Everything at this shopping event will be under $5.
If you would like your student to participate, but need assistance, please contact your student's teacher. Caregivers will need to send money in an envelope to school on their students shopping day only marked Lil shopper's. If you are interested in helping out with the store, please contact the SCO at meadowviewsco@gmail.com.
SCO Holiday Magic
Are you a crafty caregiver or like to assemble gift bags? The Meadow View SCO is looking for caregivers who would like to assist with staff member holiday gifts and creating some holiday magic. This is a great opportunity for working caregivers that can't volunteer during the day. You can volunteer from the comfort of your own home. If you are interested please reach out to the Meadow View SCO at meadowviewsco@gmail.com
