Class of 2023
Items are due on the Senior Checklist! Please make sure that you are reviewing and completing the checklist items ON TIME! If you have completed items already, please see the appropriate staff member for their signature.
HEY SENIORS!!!! Don't blink or you'll miss this announcement! Actually, that's the problem: we had too many blinkers in the group pictures we took in the Zen Garden. We will be retaking the Class of 2023 group photo in the auditorium, away from the beautiful, but blinding sun. We will meet this THURSDAY, MAR. 16 @ 10:30 in the Auditorium
MEA Esports Team
Students are looking to start an eSports Team here at MEA. eSports has exploded in popularity in the last decade, with some colleges now actively seeking students for their new eSports teams. Over $16 million in scholarships were awarded to Esports players in 2020. Video games, eSports specifically, have been shown to enhance critical thinking skills and teach teamwork, leadership, and strategy skills
An eSports Team at MEA is in its fledgling stages, we are still working on acquiring the necessary equipment. We have set up a DonorsChoose in order to garner the necessary funds to get this program up and running. Please consider donating and sharing the link below.
Donors Choose will match donations up to $50, today and tomorrow, when you use the promocode LIFTOFF
If you have any questions, please contact Melissa Keck
March Month of Giving
The March Month of Giving is hosting a canned food drive! The boxes are already in the office and you can drop food off anytime! All of the proceeds will be donated to the San Diego Food Bank. The food donated does not need to be canned, just non-perishable and store bought.
Lunch Court Beautification Project
The MEA Student Leadership Team has begun planning the lunch court beautification project with the goal of making the area more inviting for students to meet, socialize, and build community. What changes would you like to see at the lunch table area by the auditorium? Please respond to this survey they created to share your ideas.

We accept art, poetry, short stories, essays, short films, excerpts from novels, and more. For this issue, there is an Open Book section which has no theme, and a themed section called New Beginnings.
