From the Principal

Welcome back...again! I know last week's closure was abrupt and unexpected. We appreciate your patience and understanding. We are doing our best to ensure our staff and students remain safe and healthy. We encourage you to speak with your child(ren) about the importance of keeping hands clean and sanitized. We are encouraging our students to wash their hands frequently and reteaching the appropriate ways to sneeze/cough into their elbows/arms. As always, if your child is exhibiting any COVID-like symptoms, please consider keeping them home. If your child is running a fever, he/she must not attend school and may not return until he/she is fever-free without the use of medication for 24 hours.

Meet One of Our PK Teachers

One of our PK teachers, Ms. Leticia Lucio loves her Pre-K students. They are so sweet and innocent and tell funny stories. She is most amazed to see the transformation in students. Some students cry not wanting to come to school at the beginning of the year, opposed to the end of the school year. Her students become sad because the school year is ending. In her spare time, Ms. Lucio and her husband like RV traveling, shopping, site seeing and trying different restaurants. Thank you for your service, Ms. Lucio.

Meet One of Our 2nd Grade Teachers

Meet Ms. Nancy Jones, one of our 2nd grade teachers who has been teaching here at Tipps for 16 years! Ms. Jones enjoys the relationships she builds with each of her students. She loves seeing the growth process and their eyes light up when they realize all the great things they are capable of doing. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her adult children. She also loves decorating, watching movies, and shopping. Ms. Jones is a wonderful asset to our students.

Meet One of Our Kinder Teachers

Meet Ms. Morgan DeGarmo, one of our kinder teachers. If you know Ms. DeGarmo, you know how special she is. Her laugh is infectious! She has two precious doggies that are her best friends, Waffles and Wrangler. She enjoys riding her Peloton, walking her dogs, and being with friends. Every year she looks forward to student growth and happiness. We are blessed to have our kinder students learn from her!
