Our Brown Bag Auction was a tremendous success. Thank you to our amazing coordinators, Shannon Dent, Kristen Haley, and Jessica Phillips. We are also very grateful for all of our generous donors!

Our annual Italian Dinner was delicious as always. Thank you to Angie Sample and Kristin Guy who coordinated the event. Also a big thank you goes to our many parent volunteers who made this event possible! Remember to log your volunteer hours!

Father Andrew White School has an Annual Giving Campaign, where we reach out to families, alumni, and local parishioners to raise funds for the school. This year, we are raising funds to "Pave the Way for Kids to Play" as we transition the rear parking lot into an enjoyable recess area for our students. A letter was mailed to your home that provides details of this project. Thank you for prayerfully considering donating to this important fund that directly benefits our children.

Thank you to the Sterling family for acquiring the donation of the Maryland State Flag that was flown over the Maryland State House Dome in honor of Father Andrew White School as we kicked off Catholic Schools Week! We will now proudly fly it on our own flagpole!

Our local Lions Club will be coming to our school to provide free hearing and vision screenings for some students. If you have a specific hearing or vision concern and wish to have your child screened, please contact Nurse Rose. Otherwise, only selected grade levels will be given permission slips to return. Since inception, the Lions have identified thousands of students with vision and hearing deficiencies and have recommended parents see a professional for their child. They give each student they screen a report of their results to take home so that the parents can give it to a professional for action. If you have any questions about this program, please contact Nurse Rose at fawsnurse@fatherandrewwhite.org.

Be sure to ask your family and friends to see if they'd like the chance to put a little extra cash in their wallets, too! Each year ten local Catholic school teachers of the Archdiocese of Washington are honored as Golden Apple Award winners. If any parents would like to nominate a teacher who shows an excellence in teaching and a commitment to a quality Catholic education, please email Mrs. Szoch: principal@fatherandrewwhite.org for more information.

This quarter, some of our middle school students are operating a school store. They are learning how to take inventory, markup items for profit, and manage the ins and outs of a business. The school store will be open every Wednesday during their elective class time. Items cost anywhere from 25 cents to $8. Please encourage your children to visit the school store! Kindly send in an envelope with money, marked with your child’s name and “School Store” so the middle schoolers know who to expect this week.

Do you have an announcement you’d like to put in our weekly bulletin? Or perhaps you went to a FAW event and you’d like to share some information. We have created an email where you can send pictures, blurbs, etc. This will help us get new items in our bulletin, on our lobby TV, and on our website. Do you order your groceries nowadays? Grocery cards are an easy way to earn 3 to 5%. Food Lion cards are even reloadable right from your phone.
