Wrangler Weekly
Week of January 22, 2024
Message from Ms. Bratton, principal
Today our students attended grade level presentations from Forever 15 ~ a special presentation regarding the dangers of fentanyl. In case you were unable to attend the district parent nights on this topic, below are some resources to help with follow up conversations at home.
We cannot just assume "my child would never..." and therefore not talk about it. We need to equip them with information to help guide not only their decisions but also their influence on their friends, helping them to also make good choices. This is how we build a strong community.
Please prioritize talking with your child about what they saw and what they felt and reviewing key information. Our guest speakers did an excellent job of emphasizing to "Be a good human. Do the right thing. Be a good person... a friend... a leader."
DEA One Pill Can Kill -- photos, statistics, videos specific for kids, parents
Finally, the first progress report of the grading period can be found in Skyward this evening. It is not uncommon for grades to be a little low at the start of the grading period with so few grades entered. However, we encourage students to utilize tutorials to bring up their grades. Checking in with teachers and getting some extra guidance can make all the difference. Please use the tutoring schedule below to help your student make a plan, or reach out to teachers if you have specific questions.
Go Wranglers!
