Crow Island Parent Newsletter
June 5, 2023
Dear Crow Island Families,
Last week, we had an eventful week filled with a lot of fun for staff and students. The highlight of the week was of course our Field Day! We want to send a special thank you to Coach Sweene and Coach Mendoza for all of their work planning field day. We also want to thank our parent volunteers who helped manage all the stations! The students had a lot of fun.
This week, we are wrapping up our final week of school and we have a few fun events planned. Including some celebrations for our 4th graders, a staff versus 4th grade kickball game, and our Kindergarten Sing. We are looking forward to ending the school year with a bang.
Have a great week!

Dr. Kelly Tess, Superintendents, speaks to middle school reading specialists Sheri Johnston and Suzanne Savard about how to best foster childrens’ literacy during the summer months. Along with summer reading recommendations, they provide tips on what may support your child to grow in confidence in their reading skills–whether they are an avid or reluctant reader. You may be surprised by how simple and natural supporting your child’s literacy during summer break can be.
