Welcome to the Counselor’s Corner!
The Green Meadow counseling team is invested in supporting our students socially and emotionally. We also aim to support you, their parents and caregivers. In an effort to strengthen our home-school connection with you, we will be sharing weekly social emotional learning (SEL) resources that relate to timely topics and/or connect directly to the GM SEL curriculum that all of our students are familiar with. So, what is social emotional learning? How does SEL at Green Meadow take shape? Check out the Green Meadow Social Emotional Learning Resources website for additional information.

We Need Your Help!
We need parents to shop with kids as well as do simple wrapping (put items in bags)! This is a great opportunity to volunteer for an hour or two with no major commitment and a super fun event for all that participate!

The event gives children the opportunity to purchase a special gift for their family/friends. This event is for students in grades K-3 only. Gifts range from $.25 to $10 with most being in the $5 range.
The Holiday Shoppe will run on Saturday, December 9th at the Boys and Girls Club from 10am-2pm. All children wanting to participate will need to sign up for a time slot. Parents will bring their child(ren) to the club at their designated time slot and then wait in the car while their child(ren) shop. Volunteers will be there to shop with your child(ren) and bring them back to your car when completed. If you have a child that may be anxious or need extra support we are happy to allow one parent to shop with them – please email kim@gmpto.org if needed.
Time slots are on a first come, first serve basis. Make sure to sign-up each of your children for a timeslot, not yourself!

We are in need of bows and scotch tape for the holiday shoppe! You can drop them off in the box in the front lobby of the school or feel free to use the below Amazon wish list and have them shipped directly to the Holiday Shoppe coordinator. Thank you in advance for your help!

This month the PTO meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 12, at 7:00 PM.
Zora the Reading Dog will be visiting the Maynard Public Library on the second and fourth week of every month! Zora won't read to you but you can read to Zora.....and she'll love it. For ten whole minutes you can have your own, private session with this caring canine. She can be the dog you always wanted.....for ten minutes, anyway. Here's the link to sign up:
