August 22: PLC Monday- school doors open at 10:05am

August 23: 1st day of School for Kindergarten

August 23: Cross Country running for 4th and 5th graders starts- permission slips required

September 1 and 2: NO SCHOOL Professional Learning Day for staff

September 5: NO SCHOOL - Labor Day

September 15: School Picture Day- retakes are in October

September 28: Cross Country Running District Meet

We are so excited to have students back in the building and in classrooms learning. This Tuesday, our Kindergarten friends will join us full time.

In an effort to have the least impact on families district wide the rolling bus cancellations have been updated. For Machetanz, we have 2 separate days affecting different routes each day. The following days affect Machetanz students that ride the bus:

• Tuesdays: No Bus for routes 34 and 35
• Fridays: No Bus for routes 33 and 36

All kindergarten and 1st grade students are required to be released to a parent at the bus stop. If you would like your Kinder or 1st grader to be released to another adult or a sibling, the authorization to release must be filled out.

Machetanz is participating in PLC Mondays. School will start one hour later on Mondays. Buses will arrive to pick up students on hour later than their Tuesday - Friday schedule.

Students should should not be left at the school unsupervised by a parent or guardian prior to 10am as our doors will not open prior to 10am. This is for your students safety as all staff will be in PLC meetings.

This document is a list of those daycares and people in the neighborhood that provide before and after school care as well as transportation to Machetanz or are on our bus routes. We keep this document updated as we receive new information.

Are you looking for a ride for your student or can help another family? A private facebook group has been created for Machetanz Families only. To help vet who is allowed in the group, there are three questions that must be answered.

At this time, School Dismissal Manager is not working properly. Once it is, you should receive and email from School Dismissal Manager on how to create your account, check your students default pick up routine, and be able to make any changes needed on a daily basis. You will also be able to check in from the Pick Up line once the program is working correctly. We will send an email to parents once the program is working as it should be and will adjust our pick up procedures to the outdoor pick up line when all is ready. We had originally anticipated this change to take place for tomorrow, August 22nd but we are not confident that will happen. A text and email will go out when the system is ready. Until then please pick up in the classroom.
