Rio Norte News - January 19, 2024
A Note From the Principal
Hello River Hawk Families,
While we won't see snow in Santa Clarita this weekend, I hope all of our River Hawk families enjoy the cooler temperatures and much needed rain!
Thursday we held our all-school Spelling Bee and saw a great competition between our classroom winners! All of our competitors did a fantastic job spelling, but our top Congratulations goes out to Paloma Arciniegas who WON the Rio Norte Spelling Bee! Paloma now moves on to represent our school in the regional Spelling Bee. Paloma we're all wishing you the best of luck!
We are looking forward to our winter dance this coming Friday evening. If your student is attending, please be sure their attire complies with our dress code and note that strapless garments are not permitted. Additionally, students MUST have their ID card to obtain their wristband next Friday at school if they purchased a ticket. If your student has the groovepack, be sure they have RSVPd whether they are attending or not. All information and links for the dance can be found later in this newsletter.
Finally, next week our school will participate in the Great Kindness Challenge. Watch my message to students on RioTV today (below) and watch RioTV all next week to see our challenge each day!
