A note from the Principal...
Hello Disney Families,
We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow, Monday, August 28th, for our first day of school. Please remember that tomorrow is a late start and school begins at 11:30am.
At this point, your child should have received an email outlining who their teacher will be. Much thought goes into creating class lists and these were established before the end of the year with your child’s success in mind; thus, we will not be honoring teacher change requests at this time. Staff members will be available to answer questions and guide our students to where they will line up. We ask you check with a staff member outside before entering the office with questions.
Arrival and Dismissal is a stressful time for students, staff, and parents. We ask that everyone follows all of our parking lot, arrival, and dismissal procedures to help ensure a smooth flow of traffic and safety for everyone. Please refrain from using cell phones, smoking, playing loud music and using in appropriate language when in our parking lots. Most importantly, please practice patience and kindness as we are all working together to exit everyone as quickly and safely as possible.
We utilize one of our driveways to enter and the other driveway to exit. To help with traffic on Kelly, please enter Disney parking lot from the north (coming up Kelly from Penrod) and exit towards the south (Kelly towards Faulman). The loop by the main office door is for busses only during arrival and dismissal times.
Arrival Procedures
We have student safety squad members present and cones marking various areas. Please be respectful of both. All students will line up on the South Side of the building (on blacktop of lower elementary playground). Students should begin line-up no earlier than 8:20 am. A list of door assignments can be found below.
- Bus Arrival: students will exit the bus and walk towards their lineup location
- Drop Off: Please follow the below parking lot traffic flow and pull all the way forward. Safeties or adults will politely remind you of this. Adults need to remain in the vehicle and students need to quickly exit car on the PASSENGER SIDE ONLY. Please do not exit your vehicle or stop/park in the drop-off line.
- If an adult is walking students to the lineup location, please park in a parking spot in the north lot. Utilize the designated crosswalk to walk students to lineup location.
Dismissal Procedures
We have student safety squad members present and cones marking various areas. Please be respectful of both.
- Bus Dismissal: students will exit the main doors and walk directly to their assigned bus.
- K – 1st Grade Pick-Up: students will exit classroom doors. Parents are asked to park in the north parking lot and pickup their student from the front of the building (doors #1-3). Please avoid pulling through the parking spaces, as this causes a back-up to the pickup line. When crossing the parking lot, please utilize the designated crosswalks.
- 2nd – 6th Grade Pick-Up: Please follow the below parking lot traffic flow and pull all the way forward. Safeties or adults will politely remind you of this. Students will be released to parents in the pickup zone only. Please do not stop, park, or exit your vehicle while in the pickup line.
Please be aware of our actions and behaviors in the parking lot and be kind and courteous to our fellow students as we all get back in the routine of the school year.
Respectfully,
Mrs. Porter
Principal

FIND YOUR CHILD’S BUS STOP ONLINE
Bus stop information will be available online for the 2023–2024 school year starting August 21st. You can access your child’s bus stop information by visiting www.fraser.k12.mi.us. Click on the "Bus Stops" link and enter your address to retrieve your child’s bus stop information.
It is very important to check your child’s bus stop, as routes have been modified for the 2023–2024 school year.
Students will be assigned a route number in lieu of a bus number. The route number is located on the left side of the entry door. To ensure transportation, all students must be at their bus stop 10 minutes prior to the scheduled arrival time.
Please review with your child the bus rules found on the Transportation Department’s website.
Need a Backpack and Supplies?
Kindergarten Signing Day and 1st Grade Meet the Teacher Night!
Red Flag (In-Door Line Up)
When the red flag is hung outside the front of the building, this means indoor line-up. Our students will not line up at their normal door and will be able to enter the main doors at 8:20!
DISNEY DATA VERIFICATION FORMS DUE TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5
All students will be sent home with a Data Verification Card on Monday. Please fill this form out and return it ASAP so we have this important information to update our contacts in our system. The form is bright YELLOW. All forms should be submitted no later than Tuesday, September 5th.
Please reach out to our Main Office at 439-6400 with questions. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
2023-2024 Classroom Supply Lists
Please CLICK HERE to see see our Suggested Supply Lists for next school year if you want to plan ahead!
REPORT CARDS
If your child did not receive their report card at the end of last year, please contact the main office as soon as possible. It is possible your address needs updating in our system.
DOES YOU CHILD HAVE MEDICAL NEEDS?
If your child has specific medical needs, please reach out to the main office prior to the start of school. In order to administer medication, consent forms must be completed. Consent forms for prescription medications must include dosage and frequency information signed by a physician. Medication, including inhalers, must be stored in the main office and not in backpacks or pockets. In addition, if your child has a medical plan, it will need to be updated for the 23-24 school year.
Please find medication forms linked below for your convenience.
iPad Updates
Students will be receiving their iPad soon after the beginning of the school year.
Technology Agreements need to be on file for all students before they receive their iPad and chargers. Click the here for the Technology Agreement form. ALL NEW STUDENTS will need to have a technology agreement completed.
iPads will stay at school or be allowed to go home per the current Technology Agreement that is on file. Technology Agreements can be updated if you would like your child to change if they take it home or leave it at school. The most current agreement on file is used.
Students who have Technology Agreements that are Opt-Out will keep their iPad at school. No charger will be assigned as it will be charged at night at school. If a charger is not needed as you have chargers at home, and your child takes their iPad home, you can decline a charger.
*Please mail Mrs. Cichocki at Dorothy.cichocki@fraserk12.org that your child will not need a charger. You will be added to the list, and one will not be assigned.
Students with Tech Fines
If a student has a technology fine for a charger, case or iPad, the iPad will stay at school until the fine is paid. Once paid, the iPad can be sent home with a new charger.
Please contact Mrs. Cichocki with any questions.
Thank you!
Attention 4th & 5th Grade Students....
**4th graders can only audition for The Little Mermaid.**
Free & Reduced Meals
As you may have heard, all students in Fraser Public Schools are eligible to receive free meals this school year. Every student enrolled in our district can receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at NO CHARGE to your household each day.
Meals Information
Breakfast and lunch menus for the first week of school and the month of September are linked below. Elementary Schools will have a limited variety of a la carte items to purchase using CASH ONLY. All students can choose to purchase an additional breakfast or lunch at the full paid student price.
Education Benefits Form
Even though meals are free for everyone, it is still important for your household to complete an Education Benefits Form, which can be found online on the Family Portal website. This form is critical in determining the amount of money that our district receives from a variety of state and federal supplemental programs. It could also help your family qualify for additional benefits.
We are asking that you please complete and submit the Education Benefits Form as soon as possible. All information on the report submitted is confidential, and it should take only a few minutes to complete.
Menus for lunch and breakfast items do not need to be turned in this year. Teachers will go over the lunch room procedures with students the first day of school.
