Dear Parents and Carers,
What a busy, yet absolutely fabulous week we have had in school.
Careers Week
Our Careers Week has been phenomenal and the children have enjoyed it immensely. As a result of our many visitors in school and the work teachers have completed in classrooms, our children have been exposed to a breath of different roles and have begun to talk about their futures with great excitement.
I would like to reach out and thank all of the visitors that kindly gave up their time to come in to see us this week – from some amazing parents to visitors we made contact with across our community. If anybody wishes to come in to school to speak with our children in the future, we would very much welcome you at any time of the year so please do not hesitate to contact us through admin.
As part of the week, the children were requested to take a wooden spoon and use it creatively to represent a career interest. There was a range of fantastic spoons in school from all classes. Our Junior Leadership Team took their time to view all entries and selected children from each phase to receive a voucher
Summer Fair
The Summer Fair on Monday, was again, another fabulous event in school. As always, we were over the moon with the vast amount of people who attended to support us. The children worked so hard to think of a stall they wanted to run and it was pleasing to see an array of activities. With your support and your kind donations for the tombola stall, we raised in excess of £1,500. The funds raised will enable us to purchase some furniture for the library and will also be put towards a long term goal of upgrading our stage, sound and lighting equipment in the hall. Thank you to all our parent helpers who came along to help get things set up. Your support with all that you do is greatly appreciated.
Larks Hill’s Got Talent
On Tuesday, we held the finals of our Larks Hill’s Got Talent Competition. It was wonderful to see so many parents come along to support the children. The talent was out of this world and we already have plans in motion to upscale the event for next year.
Well done to our worthy winners.
New starter Induction
On Thursday evening, the EYFS Team and my Senior Leaders held a meeting to introduce ourselves to the parents and carers of our new September starters into Reception. This meeting was extremely well attended and it was a pleasure to be able to welcome new faces into school, answer some of your queries and share some of our many achievements. We look forward to seeing everyone in the new academic year.
