We have had a great start to the school year with school activities and sports. We are looking forward to our first home football game versus Georgetown-Ridge Farm on Friday September 1st as well as our first All School Assembly. Homecoming week is September 18th - 23rd. SWAP Day is September 20th! The Homecoming Game versus Westville is on September 22nd . Please join us for the Parade and Football game as well as all of the other festivities going on that week.
Picture Day is on September 6th!
Students started at DACC College Express on August 21st and are off to a great start. The students are enjoying the opportunities that DACC has to offer.

I am excited and honored to be your assistant principal and athletic director for the 2023-2024 school year. We've had a great start of the school year! As we look into the month of September, I am looking forward to the more athletic events this season. Our first home football game will be on Friday, September 1st, at 7pm against Georgetown Ridge Farm. Our first Volleyball game is scheduled for Tuesday, August 28th, against Heritage. Also, Homecoming weekend and festivities will begin on September 18th, we host Westville in football on Friday, September 22nd, and host the dance on Saturday, September 23rd. We hope to see everyone there to support our Comets!
I will be taking juniors and seniors to DACC on Sept. 14 for College Day. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about DACC and many other universities that will be in attendance. I have emailed out a Google Form for the students to sign up. Seniors will get first priority if transportation is an issue. We will leave from OHS at 8:20 a.m. and return around 10:30 a.m. If your student has an F at that time, they will NOT be permitted to attend.
I will have an EIU rep. in my office during homeroom on Sept. 7 for anyone who would like to meet with him. I will also have a McKendree rep. here on Sept. 12 during homeroom. I encourage students to come by and learn more information about those colleges and ask questions. There is a sign-up sheet for these days outside of my office!
