Pickleball Courts Open to Public

Thanks to a collaboration with the City of Medina, the District has collaborated to repurpose old tennis courts located on the A.I. Root Middle School property into pickleball courts. These courts are now open to the public for play. Students at A.I. Root Middle School will also have access to the courts as part of the physical education program at Root.


This project, approved by the Medina City Schools Board of Education during their November 21, 2022, regular meeting, was for $237,783, split equally between the District and the City.


Summer Projects Prepare Buildings for the Coming School Year

As the new school year quickly approaches, several summer projects have been completed in anticipation of the arrival of our students. These projects were completed as part of the long-term facilities plan using sales tax dollars.

Pool Repair Moves Forward

Pool repairs continue to move forward at the Medina Community Recreation Center. These repairs are scheduled to be completed Fall of 2023.

Ramp Repaired at Claggett Middle School

The ramp leading to the trailers at Claggett Middle School was recently replaced.

Medina Community Recreation Center Addition Underway

The recreation center walls are up. Waiting on steel for over the windows, which has slightly delayed the project.
