Hough Highlights

In this week’s Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) weekly message, Barrington 220, specifically Hough and Lines elementary schools, were recognized for the academic growth that has been made since 2019 in the areas of reading and math. This growth happens with the help of so many people, including our wonderful Hough families. Thank you for your continued support.

Tomorrow is the big day - the Hough Variety Show! The curtain goes up at 6:30pm at Station Middle School. In lieu of selling tickets, Student Council will be collecting cash donations at the door. Concessions will be available during intermission (cash only). Please come support your fellow Hawks as they share their talents!

Parent Trivia night is next Friday and we couldn’t be more excited for this night of fun! Tickets are $25 each or $200 for a table of 8. At 7:00 pm we will decorate tables and enjoy a taco bar before jumping into trivia at 8:00 pm. Any proceeds go back to Hough Street School. There will be a cash bar available throughout the night. The Barrington Early Learning Center is a free early childhood education program that serves at-risk preschool students ages 3 to 5 years old in the Barrington 220 School District. The ELC qualifies prospective students through screenings offered throughout the school year in the areas of pre-academic skills, gross and fine motor skills, vision and hearing, social skills, and speech/language. Students are placed according to their

Hough Hawks have had a ton of fun honoring our U.S. Veterans over the last few weeks. Tomorrow we are asking students to wear stars, stripes or red, white and blue for Spirit Day.
