Immigration Day at NPE
This week the 5th graders participated in our annual "Immigration Day". From the "boat" across the pond, to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, our students researched, presented and re-enacted the Immigration process experienced by so many all those years ago.
Thank you to our parent volunteers for helping with our Immigration Day!
Wiley the Wildcat & LHS Football players came to visit!
Lexington High School shared their mascot with us Friday during the morning drop-off. And not only that, the LHS Varsity Football players greeted our NPE Lions and helped open car doors this morning. Thank you to Wiley the WIldcat & Varsity Football for joining us and starting our day off with some spirit!
Congratulations to Math Coach, Lisa Ross!
Our very own Math Coach, Lisa Ross, has received a Bright Ideas Grant from Mid Carolina Electric Cooperative. The funds from this grant will be used to purchase materials to enhance her math curriculum with students. Thank you, MCEC and congratulations, Mrs. Ross!
Weekly LifeSkill Challenge
LifeSkill Challenge of the Week: Creativity
Each week, New Providence highlights a different "LifeSkill Challenge" for our students. As students demonstrate the weekly LifeSkill, they are presented with a "ticket". That "ticket" is put into a box and names are drawn at the end of each week.
Over the past week, the challenge was to demonstrate Creativity. Congratulations to all the students for showcasing these LifeSkills:
The following students' Creativity tickets were drawn from the box:
Lucas G. - Mrs. Marth's class
Will P. - Ms. Hall's class
Eli S. - Ms. Elvington's class
Olivia P. - Mrs. Sundberg's class
Sawyer N.- Stuber's class
Liam B. - Ms. Elvington's class
