Salford Hills send a big THANK YOU to the Indian Valley Education Foundation for donating t-shirts our kindergarten class wore on the first day of school!

Parents were notified on Monday, September 18th if they were selected to be a class Homeroom Parent. Homeroom Parents will serve as the liaison between Home and School, and the student's classroom. Each Homeroom Parent will be in contact with parents from their assigned classroom to find volunteers for holiday socials and other volunteer opportunities. We thank you and truly appreciate your willingness to help!

Miss. Ciccotosto's class lead our first School Meeting. Miss Ciccotosto's class talked about:

Together, Salford Hills has solved: 579,679 math problems!

Mrs. Seaman, our Salford Hills counselor, has been visiting each homeroom. In grades 2-5, she introduced our Coping Toolbox. The toolbox contains a set of items that students may choose to use in order to help themselves calm down and reset their emotions. With a calm mind, we’re better able to be a good friend and a good learner.

Please complete the below information if you choose to pick up your child(ren) as a daily car rider. A car rider once or twice can be handled with a simple note to the office on the morning of the change.
Upon completing this information, you will receive a school-issued name placard for each person listed. The name placard must be placed on the passenger side dashboard, so it is visible through the front windshield of your vehicle. Children will only be allowed to leave in vehicles with school-issued name tags. If you do not have the placard, you will be asked to pull forward to physically sign out your child.

If your child will be a car rider, please send a note into their teacher letting them know you will be picking them up.

Please complete and return the Back-to-School 2023-2024 Information Review, available at the link below, for each of your children that attend Souderton Area School District. The review includes required policy and procedure agreements as well as important weather-related and health information. Completed packets should be returned to Salford Hills as soon as possible.

In preparation for your child's use of a 1-to-1 device in the 2023-2024 school year, please complete the Mobile Device Use Agreement and pay the device protection fee. Please see the details below.

Each year, the student/parent mobile device use agreement must be completed, and the device protection fee must be paid, via one of the methods below.

• Option 1 - Complete agreement and pay fee online.
  *Note: If you have never paid through Pay Online/RevTrak, you will need to create an account.
  
• Option 2 - Print agreement and make payment in-person: Complete and sign the Student/Parent Agreement (English | Spanish | Vietnamese). Please send the signed agreement and payment for the device fee to school with your child.

***Student ID's can be found in your Home Access Center Account***

Devices will be distributed to students during the first week of school.

As we launch the 2023-2024 school year, here are a few important dates to know:

• September 25 - Yom Kippur, No School for Students

Our next Home & School Meeting will be Tuesday Oct. 10th at 6pm in the SH Cafeteria. Please join us to meet other parents, learn about HSA events and volunteer opportunities, as well as bring any ideas, concerns, or questions to the Board. Childcare will be provided. We hope to see you there!

The Salford Hills HSA invites you to volunteer at Salford Hills this year! The HSA helps coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, social events, school events, etc. As a volunteer, you are welcome to serve as much or as little as you wish. For example, help during a specific event, assist in organizing an event, lead a committee, help in your child's classroom, and more. There are so many ways to serve Salford Hills and we would love to connect you with opportunities that would be a good fit for you and your family.

In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below. There is no commitment by joining our volunteer list. By signing up, you will simply join our list to be notified of events needing volunteers and other opportunities to get involved. Thank you for helping serve our students, families, teachers, and staff at Salford Hills!
