Principal's Message
Dear Dolvin Families –
I hope you enjoyed the extra long weekend! With the cold front we are currently experiencing, our biggest challenge this week is having children put on / keep on their coats as they leave for the bus or carpool. Please encourage your child to be “weather-ready” as they head out the school door and into the elements.
Your proud principal,
Karen

Counselor's News
Think First & Stay Safe Program
Once a year all students participate in the Think First & Stay Safe program. This is a state mandated lesson that will be taught by the school counselor. Attached is the OPT-OUT letter that provides more information about the program and the concepts that will be taught.
If you prefer that your child NOT participate in the program, please return this form, or send an email to your school counselor as soon as possible. Unless the written OPT-OUT documentation is received by January 26th your child will be a participant in the Think First & Stay Safe program.
As always, our administration and counselor are available to discuss any questions you may have about the Think First & Stay Safe™ curriculum.
Amber Fisher, School Counselor can be reached by phone at 470-254-9275 office or via email at

Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition
Happy New Year! It is once again time for our Young Georgia Authors Writing Competition. Entries are due to Ms. Halron no later than Friday, January 26th. We can't wait to see what our young Dolphins submit! Please see the attached document for specific directions and rules. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Halron at Halron@fultonschools.org.
Volunteers
As of January 3, 2024, Fulton County Schools is utilizing the CheckMate Sign-In system to welcome visitors and volunteers into our schools. CheckMate has replaced the Raptor system. Unfortunately, the Volunteer Registration system did not roll over into the new system and all School Volunteers will need to re-register. Any task that will allow you to interact with students will require you to register as a Volunteer. The new re-registration will be effective until May 31, 2026. We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. Please follow the link below to access the FCS Volunteer Registration page.
https://www.fultonschools.org/Page/9539
Important - All Visitors and Volunteers must remember to bring in their driver's license each time they sign in. The license will be scanned each time. Thank you for your patience as we are implementing this new safety procedure.
