Message from Principal DeCent

After school today, a 9th-grade Tartan student was hit by a vehicle while crossing Greenway Avenue. Tartan and District 622 staff immediately supported the student and situation until the paramedics arrived. The student was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

I do not have any other details to share at this time, other than the student was awake and alert after the incident. I want to thank all of the staff and others who showed concern and assisted with the situation today.
