Week of August 21-27, 2022 at ALCMS
On behalf of our ALCMS Faculty and Staff, I want THANK YOU for a wonderful start to our 2022-2023 school year. Your partnership in making our first week a success was noticed and appreciated.
Last week, our scholars competed the first week of The Lion Way-First 10 Days. This is to introduce to our new scholars and review for our returning scholars our ACPSD and ALCMS schoolwide practices, procedures, expectations and consequences. Scholars participated in a week of various assemblies, practicing emergency drills, classroom team building activities, hallway transitions, classroom procedures, getting to know their teachers, reviewing handbooks, etc. We want to be intentional in making certain our scholars are fully aware of our expectations of them. This week, scholars will participate complete the second week.
Additionally, our scholars also received copies of the ACPSD Code of Conduct for Middle School Students and the ALCMS Scholar Family Handbook. We ask that you also review, with your scholar, the information from both documents as they contain very important information. In addition, all forms should be signed and returned to your child's Advisory Teacher. If your scholar has not provided you with those documents, please speak with them.
Lastly, you are encouraged to remain in continuous contact with your scholar's teachers throughout each nine weeks. This will help to make the entire school year easier for you and your middle school scholar.
We look forward to continuing to work together for the success of our scholars throughout the year. Have a wonderful week!
