Current COVID Metrics

Masking To Remain Optional

  • Per district COVID protocols, when we didn't meet 4 of 5 benchmarks, the issue of mandatory masking was reviewed by the HSD Pandemic Response Team.
  • HSD will not implement mandatory masking at this time.
  • Case rates in the region and across the state are slightly increasing yet remain in the Yellow/Moderate range; levels in the county are low.
  • HSD is averaging approximately 3.57 cases per day (the school year peak was 24.57 in January).

COVID Testing

  • COVID Testing remains free of charge regardless of insurance status for HSD students and staff at our weekly testing clinics.
  • We recommend that students and staff complete the testing registration process so that there are no barriers to testing when/if the need arises.
  • Students and staff must be fully registered a minimum of 48 hours before testing.
