What's Up At The Nest...
Principal's Message
Dear OMS Families,
Hopefully, this week we saw the last snowfall of the season and spring flowers are on the way. We were so excited to welcome many 5th grade parents to the nest to see all of the hard work that went into our students' bio bottles. Thank you to those of you that were able to rearrange your schedule on short notice. We are working to plan more in-person events and will share Save the Dates soon!
If you haven't viewed the lost and found pictures yet, please find the link at the bottom. We have many items left that will be donated after Feb. 28th.
Have a great weekend,
Erin, Julia, and the OMS staff
Lunch Update
Beginning March 7th, we will have all students eating lunch in the Commons. We will continue to have 3, 20-minute lunch shifts to reduce the number of students in the space. We always allow students additional time to eat if they need it, including our 3rd-shift students.
12:10 - 12:30 - 1st and 3rd grade
12:30 - 12:50 - 5th grade
12:50 - 1:10 - 2nd and 4th grade
We plan to keep this schedule for the remainder of the year.
*Allergy students will continue to have a designated safe spot.
*Shields will continue to be available for students that would like one.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Zone
A few reminders to help the car line flow smoothly:
- Please pull all the way forward.
- Adults, please stay in your vehicle.
- Wait until the vehicle in front of you pulls away. When cars in the back of the zone pull out and block others from being able to merge in we can't let the next group of cars through.
- Drop-off and Pick-Up along Olive Street is prohibited. Please take a few extra minutes to park or drive through the loading zone.
- On inclement weather days when the car line is longer, we do not mark students tardy.
