Principal's Message

Dear Palisades Park Jr./Sr. High School Families,


Welcome 2022! I hope you and your family had a joyful and relaxing Holiday Break!


As we begin a new year, I would like to remind everyone of our school goal to decrease tardies and absences. We have noticed an increase in absences and tardies in the last two months. Your partnership is critical to ensure that your student arrives to school on time regularly. Being chronically absent and/or tardy can lead to doing poorly in school. Students who miss days and arrive late to school are more likely to fail their classes, dropout from high school, and have poor relationships with parents and teachers. If we work together, we can increase regular school attendance and student achievement!

Bedtime Reminder

Set your sleep/bedtime reminder on your phone for a reasonable time. This will help prompt you to detatch from your phone, get to bed at a decent time, and set a goal for the amount of sleep time you are trying to reach. Getting enough sleep will make it easier to wake up in the morning.

Create a Routine

Just like athletes have a pre-game or free throw routine, building postive habits helps us stay focused. Be mindful about creating a bedtime and morning routine. It only takes 21 days to build a habit! Let's build a positive one!

Prepare the Night Before

You will breeze through your morning routine if you plan the night before. Add five minutes to your bedtime routine to gather what you will need for the next day in one place. Find your backpack, Chromebook, sports gear, and pick out your clothes for the next day.

All Schools Special Needs 5k Run

Students and Staff participated in the All Schools Special Needs 5k event @ Ridgefield Park HS. Special shout out to our very own Ms. Kilmurray who was the Race Director and made this fundraising event possible!

HOPE Club Scholarship Fundraiser

Students and parent volunteers sell hot chocolate to raise money for scholarships. They sold out all 130 cups of hot cocoa! Thank you to our students, parents, and Mrs. Cho for their hard work to raise funds for a great cause.

  • 12:30pm dismissal for students
