Easley Weekly Update
Everything You Need to Know for the coming week.

a note from the principal
It was awesome to see so many of our families at our Fall Festival on Saturday afternoon; what a wonderful turnout and a gorgeous afternoon! A HUGE thank you is due to our amazing PTA for pulling off another incredible community event! Please see below for a special message from our PTA President, Erin Medlyn.
Kindergarten Drop Off
Recently, we have noticed an increase in the number of kindergarten students who are being let out of the car before a staff member is able to receive them; this raises several safety concerns. Please keep students in the car until a staff member opens the door to receive them and send them on their way to the kindergarten classrooms. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our littlest eagles safe and sound during morning arrival.
Easley Family Math Night
We hope you can join us for a night of fun math games and activities on Thursday, October 26th, from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. in the Easley gym and cafeteria. We invite students and families to wear their favorite costumes!
Important Redistricting Information for Current K-2 Students Only
You received a letter regarding the 2024-2025 student reassignment plan. This letter informed you of your child's official region and assigned zoned elementary school for the 2024-2025 school year. Please take a couple minutes and complete this survey as it will assist us with further communication and help us know your intent for next year. You can also check out the Growing Together website at this link: https://welcome.dpsnc.net/

A Message From the PTA
Thank you so much to all of you who came out to our fall festival yesterday. We believe it was our largest and most successful event yet! It definitely takes a village—and that includes the village who worked hard behind the scenes to put on this event. We’d like to thank our PTA Activities Committee, chaired by Gabe Trujillo—Gabe and Ryan Kelly, our PTA vice president, co-chaired the fall festival this year. Other members of the committee include Maria Esposito, Jennifer Garrison, Leah Hughes, Jessica Irven, Rusty Privett, Mychal Powell, Ryan Sailstad, and Carolyn Stoe. These committee members brought so many great ideas to this year’s event – including more inflatables and face-painting options, more food options and books donated by Book Harvest (thanks also to Book Harvest!) A special thanks to all the parents and teachers who volunteered yesterday – and to the front office staff who helped us disseminate tickets and flyers to families. We couldn’t have done it without you! Finally, we’d like to thank the three people who had probably the most thankless job of all – the dunk tank volunteers. Thanks to Brian Mannino, George Bruns, and Jennifer Hauser for taking the plunge in the chilly water (again and again)!
