MSE Library Donations
If you are cleaning out closets for the new year, East’s library is looking for puzzles, games, chess sets, craft supplies, Rubik’s Cubes, and Legos!
The library has knitting, crocheting, and hat looming kits that kids check out to make projects with donated yarn. Students create bookmarks with stamps, paper punches, and stickers. The library has a few puzzles that students build while they are visiting the library. Building puzzles has been proven to help lower stress levels. The kids love checking out chess sets. Playing chess teaches kids cause and effect. The library has a small set of Legos but the students would love to have more. The library has a few Rubik’s Cubes that kids can check out and a large set of cubes that students use to build mosaics. When students create these images, they improve visual-spatial reasoning, build problem solving skills, increase attention to detail, and build collaboration. Every Wednesday during 10th period, the library has Loud in the Library events that include yarn crafts, board games, chess, and more! If you have questions about the programs or donations, please email our librarian, Mrs. Mento. KMento@boyertownasd.org
