Yes, I Can Awards
We had a wonderful time celebrating Exceptional Children's Week this week. We got to celebrate the different ways each of us are unique, and show all of our unique talents. We ended the week with the Yes, I Can nominations. This is a time where we celebrate all of our students who have made immense progress in academics as well as other areas of their school experience. At the end of the celebration, our school nominates one participant who exemplified the Yes I Can attitude to be recognized at the County Level. The Yes I Can award winner of the 2022-2023 school year is Fabrice Mezias.

February PBIS Celebration
For the month of February, we let the students have the power when it came to our PBIS reward! Each grade level’s celebration looked a little different. Some chose extra free time while others chose board games and bingo. The three kindergarteners pictured above showed off their amazing artistic abilities. We are so proud of all our Explorers who earned the celebration this month. We love celebrating good behavior! Ask your Explorer what their grade level did for PBIS reward on Friday.
A special PBIS shout out goes to our Explorers who earned 20 gold slips or more! This is QUITE AN ACCOMPLISHMENT, and we celebrated them with extra PE in the gym! Set a goal with your explorer to try to earn 20 gold slips next month.

What can I do to help my child prepare?
Be certain your child gets plenty of sleep and has a healthy breakfast.
Be certain your student is at school on time, so they are not worried about being late.
Remind students that cell phones and smart watches will be collected and stored in the secure testing room during test administration times. It’s best for students to leave them at home if possible.
Please have students bring their fully charged device every day.
Get information and practice using this link: Georgia Milestones Resources (gadoe.org)
Experience the online testing session using this link: http://www.gaexperienceonline.com/
What happens if my child is absent?
There will be rolling make-ups throughout the testing window. Please do not send your child in if they are sick.
Can visitors be in the building?
During GMAS testing, we will not be allowing visitors in the building before 11:30 am, and there will also be no lunch visitors these days.
