I hope everyone had a wonderful week and weekend. This last past week, which was actually the last full week of school in November (how did that happen) was filled with fun! Our Student Council took to the stage, and the classrooms to campaign. They were all amazing! The speeches, the appeals to the students, the passion, THE LEADERSHIP! They were amazing. To be honest, before each one took the stage, they were winners. We met earlier in the week, and I explained to them that their desire to run, and to lead makes them all winners. But their speeches left all of the staff and students inspired. Our students represented exactly what we hope for; motivation, passion, and mostly, desire to make a difference. Their campaign promises were valid, and spoke about what the students want. Election Day was exciting, and as the outcome of the election was revealed, we are aware that all candidates might feel discouraged. On Monday morning, all candidates will meet to form our other leadership teams at PS 88Q. Stay tuned for those committees next week. As for our 2023-2024 Student Council:

We are extremely proud of our Kindergarten programs at PS 88Q. We offer our students many opportunities and programs at PS 88Q. We are proud to have a STEM-ICT Kindergarten, Kindergarten NEST Program among our kindergarten options. We will be hosting a series of in person and virtual Open Houses in December and January, as well as information sessions for or new families. Stay tuned!

On Saturday, November 18th, we received a donation of over 50 turkeys for our families. What a wonderful organization that supports PS 88Q! Thank you!

Michelle Henriquez is your new parent representative on the School Leadership Team. Congratulations Michelle! The number of parents that expressed interest was amazing. Thank you to Katie Strauss for stepping up and running for the seat as well! It's so great for our school that more and more parents are getting involved!
