PTA Message:
THANK YOU, Coleman Family! We raised $10,000 for our Boosterthon Schoolwide Fall Fundraiser :
Our Coleman School Community exceeded our wildest dreams and helped raise $10,000 for our Boosterthon Schoolwide Fall Fundraiser! The Coleman Family sought out donations from family and friends from October 10th through October 18th. As a celebration and a means to collect the funds, the students who registered on MyBooster.com and paid the $15 Color Run Entry Fee participated in yesterday's Coleman Color Run. The students ran 35 laps, enjoyed getting colorized with the varied colors of powder, listened to fun music, and had a blast. Thank you to the family and friends who donated and thank you to our students who ran the Color Run! Your dedication and enthusiasm reaped great rewards! Our school now has ample funding for Field Trips and Art and Science PBL Project Supplies. The Coleman PTA is awarding gifts to the teachers with the top donating classes in each grade level. Mrs. Clement had the top donating class for 6th Grade. Mrs. Mullins had the top donating class for 7th Grade. Mrs. Parkman had the top donating class for 8th Grade. Another 6th Grade Teacher, Mr. Ramsay, had the second top donating class in the entire school, so he will also be receiving a gift. If you did not have a chance to register and donate online, Boosterthon is keeping the Donation Page open for one more Bonus Week through October 25th! Please click on the following link: ⭐️ Register Now On MYBOOSTER.COM ⭐️ to donate online. Or, you may send in Cash or Check (made payable to Coleman PTA). Your child's Homeroom Teacher will be glad to collect the money and place it in the Coleman PTA Mailbox. The Coleman PTA will cut and present the check to Coleman Middle School sometime in November once donations close and all funds are collected.

GCPS Annual AKS Public Review
Staff, students, families, and Gwinnett community members are invited to review and provide input on proposed instructional resources for select grades and courses in Mathematics, ESOL, and World Language. Before adopting instructional resources for classroom use, Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) holds an extensive review. Multiple committees involving various stakeholder groups reviewed resources submitted by publishers for alignment with the school system’s Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) standards. During the ongoing review process, selected resources are piloted in GCPS classrooms. Data from the reviews and pilots will be considered in making adoption recommendations to the Board of Education in early 2024.
This year’s virtual public review is open now through October 31st.
