• February 13: SBO Meeting at 7:00
• February 14: Valentine's Day Parties
• February 19: President's Day, No School
• February 21: 2nd Grade Literacy Day Field Trip
• February 23: K-1 Popcorn Day
• February 23: PTO Bingo Night 6 pm-9 pm

Attendance has been increasingly the focus of attention among school divisions and educators. According to research, regular attendance is a significant factor in a student’s success:

• Chronic absenteeism correlates to low academic achievement;
• Absenteeism is a powerful predictor of dropout rates;
• Absenteeism has been linked to poor outcomes later in life.

As part of our attendance incentive, each quarter, two students names are drawn for a special prize. Picture are our winners from the first and second quarter. Great job!

Phenix Elementary School has a number of instructional resources available for parent check out and return. Please feel free to come by the office and take a look!
