Walker Building Update
We are so excited about our new building! It is beautiful, accessible, bright, and new! At this point, we have crossed our fingers (and our toes) that everything continues to stay on track with the construction so we can move into our new building by the end of the school year.
The construction is expected to be completed by mid-April. Immediately following this, we'll need a few weeks to get the building ready for our staff and students. Our maintenance team will perform checks of the systems, furniture will be installed, and boxes will be moved to Walker. Then, we will unpack and move into our new building! If all goes as planned, we will be in our new beautiful building by mid-May.
As long as construction continues to stay on track with this timeline, we are planning to hold an evening Open House (instead of DaVinci Night) at our new building this spring. At this Open House (date TBD), our Walker Families will have a chance engage in fun activities, play Lotería, connect and eat with one another, and tour our beautiful new building!
We will continue to update families as we get closer to this date. Please look for more information prior to Spring Break. For now, some staff would be grateful for help with packing. In a few months, we would love help unpacking and getting settled in to our new school. If you are able to volunteer, please let me or your child's teacher know, and we will put you to work!

YouthTruth Student & Family Survey
Survey Window: February 27 - March 24
Walker School wants to hear from our students and families! We’re partnering with YouthTruth to hear what students and families have to say about their school experience. This feedback will give us valuable feedback to better understand the experience of students and families so we can work to improve our school climate!
Survey questions are available for review upon request. Please contact Tiffany Burns before February 27th if you would like to opt-out your child from the survey.
Lost & Found
Our Lost & Found is brimming with clothes and student items. Please stop by the 5th grade Cafe during conferences and see if your child has any belongings here!
