The leprechaun is back...

There were sightings today and clear evidence that he/she/they was in the building. There were footprints, gold coins, and mischief to be had! Many of our students built clever traps, but none were successful in catching our elusive friend. Check out our Wildcats' clever contraptions below.

We had a nice turn out for Kindergarten Orientation on Wednesday. If you were unable to make it, please swing by the Willow Office and pick up a registration packet.

5 essentials challenge:

We are still in need of parents to complete the 5 Essentials survey. We appreciate the perspectives you share on what we are doing well and areas where we need work. Like Churchill, we decided some incentives for our students might help:

35% participation = stuffies ( stuffed animals) day at Willow

50% particiation = popcicles ( when it's a bit warmer)

75% participation = I will be kissing a pig ( if you know where I can borrow one, please email me)

Spirit week- March 27-31

Spirit Week will have a little difference this week. Because of our designation as a Unified Champion for Special Olympics, there are specific aspects of the program we do to maintain that status. One of those things is to educate our Wildcats more about different special needs. We will be incorporating this in the morning announcements and by adding specific colors that can be worn each day. For example, if your Wildcat doesn't have anything collegiate to wear (cue shameless plug for Purdue) he/she/they could wear something with teal instead. We thought this might also help give your Wildcat more options to participate.

Our Widcats are learning how powerful words can be. Challenge yourself to watch the words you use, being sure not to use nicknames or terms that could be hurtful. When students use inappropriate words/language at school, we ask where he/she/they learned or heard the words. The most frequest answers are: YouTube, music, movies, older siblings, and parents. All of those examples are ones that can be managed or improved.

PMA chocolate sale pick up:

BIG thanks to those of you who helped with the chocolate sale! You can pick up your orders on Monday.

PTA Butter Braid sale:

The PTA is working with La Braids again this year selling their delicious butter braids. The sale began yesterday March 13th and ends on March 27th. Pick up will be on April 11th. Your student should bring home a paper flyer (also attached to this email), but you can head to the website below to register your student to start selling today! It's easy and only takes a minute.
