• Please join us for a parent presentation on our social-emotional learning program, RULER. We will meet on Wednesday, November 16th at 6:15 p.m. in the LMC. We hope to see you there!
• We are moving into the season of respiratory illnesses. Please be sure to have your children eat fruits and vegetables and get plenty of rest to keep their bodies healthy. We also ask that you not send your child to school if they are not feeling well. Your child should be fever free for 24 hours before they return to school. Please do your part to keep Westgate healthy!

How does RULER work in the school?

We infuse RULER into all parts of our school by having school-wide activities. In the classroom, teachers integrate core routines that build emotional awareness and teach RULER lessons.

Supporting RULER at Home

These simple activities and conversation starters are designed to promote social and emotional skills at home. There are three types of activities: “Talk About It,” “Do It Together,” and “Did You Notice.”
