From our BoT
Message from the Board Of Trustees to All Parents and Caregivers of Inglewood Primary.
August and September 2021 have been a challenge to us as a school community. With 6 hours notice we were plunged into Level Four in a bid to safely manage the Covid 19 Delta Outbreak in Auckland. As a Board, we are reaching out to say a massive thank you to our whole school community. As our teachers, support staff and leaders pulled together to present a distance and online learning platform (which we think was exceptional under the circumstances) you, parents and caregivers, were left with the task of not only parenting, but helping your child or children adjust to a massive change in their lives.
We want to acknowledge those of you who continued to work in essential services, those who were working from home and those who had to also facilitate their children's care, learning and activities on top of everything else. It is not an easy task to provide the care and protection our tamariki need at any time - let alone during a pandemic, while you still have multiple other responsibilities, and you’re under a lockdown. You’re all amazing!

Waiongana Iti News
This week is an exciting week with it being the last week before the school holidays. The students have enjoyed participating and watching the speech finals. We were so impressed with the range of persuasive speeches that it made it really difficult to select who would be in the finals. Well done to all the students for presenting their speeches, it is not always an easy thing to do.
Congratulations to our speech winners:
Year 5-
1. Jordan Curd
2. Annabelle Edwards
3. Tayla Zame
Year 6-
1. Junior (Lesedi) Twala
2. Cameron Catlin- Maybury
3. Isobel Andrews
During the week, we continued on with our continent study looking at Asia, Africa and Europe. The students have chosen their area of focus and we have continued to research the different animals found within their chosen continent. Next term, we are planning to explore different countries, cultures and of course food. The students are very excited and cannot wait to.
Another fabulous week with a grand finale.
