Christmas is a time for joy and celebration, not just for the time we spend with friends and family, but for the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. May we celebrate the fulfilled promises through Christ and remember God's grace and mercy for us.

The Senior High Choir was able to go to Sunrise Retirement Center after their exams on Wednesday. We sang several Christmas songs and carols. Two or our High School Students, Adam Sitenga and Sophia Breede, each directed a song. We were able to share the love of Christ and bring joy to a group of retired residents of Schaumburg.

Our Freshmen economics course took first place in this year's state-wide stock market competition. Every year, Illinois provides an online state-market competition for high school students to compete in. While most of these students are seniors in the other 780 participating schools, our students were all freshmen. Throughout the year, we had two teams in the top 10, and we ended the competition with 5 of our 8 teams finishing in the top 100.

At the beginning of the semester, each team is given $100,000. Throughout the past few months, our students researched and used current stock market data to trade with virtual money. Our first place team finished $33,000 profit while our 3rd place time finished $23,000 profit.
