Barrington Homecoming Parade Decorating

Hough's Student Leadership Council invites all Hough Hawks to help decorate for the HOCO parade! Join us on Friday, September 30th from 2:40-3:30 PM in the gym. Pick up will be at 3:30 at the main office entrance (Lake Street - by the steps). Please complete this form in order to ensure we have enough supplies for all participants. Students MUST be registered in order to participate. Please register your child here. This year’s parade theme is Garden Party.

Hough Choir (4th/5th grade)

Choir will be open to all 4th and 5th-grade students and our first rehearsal will be held on Thursday, October 13th. Be sure to complete the online registration by October 9. Please don't hesitate to reach out to Miss Popovich (kpopovich@barrington220.org) if you have any questions.

Family Bingo Night

Hough is thrilled to host its renowned Family Bingo Night on Friday, October 7 in the gym. Check-in and dinner will begin at 6:15 pm, with Bingo starting promptly at 6:45 pm and lasting into the wee small hours….kidding…we will wrap up by 7:30 pm. Be on the lookout for an email next week with complete details, including the online registration link.

Parent Literacy Survey

Barrington 220 follows a curriculum review cycle that includes a thorough analysis of our subject areas of learning. This year, we are reviewing our elementary (K-5) literacy curriculum and instruction. Literacy includes phonics, word study, reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We are seeking parent and caregiver feedback, and appreciate your thoughtful answers to our questions linked in the following survey:

Prairie Garden

We want to give a big thank you to former Hough student and Eagle Scout, Nick Rolain, for all of his hard work over the past several months to design a prairie garden for our small playground. He had lots of helpers who made a big impact, as well. We are excited to watch the garden grow and bloom!
