As we approach Winter Break, Student Council is sponsoring an abbreviated spirit week on the last week of school in December. Each day is detailed in the graphic below.

Please note that on Holiday HAT Day, Wednesday, December 14th, students can pay $1 to wear a hat to school. All money raised will go towards supporting students in our community during the holidays.

Students in band, chorus, and strings will perform during the month of December. Everyone is welcome to attend. Each concert will take place in the Daniel High School auditorium.

December 8: Strings performs at 6:30 PM

December 13: Chorus performs at 5:30 PM

December 15: Band performs at 6:00 PM

We hope you will be able to join us as our students showcase their musical talents!

Edwards will dismiss at 11:45am on December 16th. The elementary schools will dismiss before us at 11:10am and Daniel dismisses after us at 12:00pm.

Our 2022-2023 R.C. Edwards Beta Club is off to an incredible start. We had two induction ceremonies and were proud to see so many students honored and celebrated in such a big way.

Our first informational meeting was Thursday, December 1st, and we concluded our meeting with a one-hour service project where we "beautified" our school.

During the month of December, Beta is hosting two drive opportunities where students can earn service hours for participating. Please see the flyer attached for details.

There are so many incredible ways our students can serve our community and outlying communities during the holiday season. It is our hope that our students will be actively seeking opportunities to serve during this season.

Our next meeting will be Thursday, January 5th from 3:30 to 4 pm. We will communicate whether or not a service opportunity will accompany this meeting AND instructions for dismissal/pick-up.

It's not too late to join the PTSO. Please help us to continually make the 2022-23 school year a memorable one by joining the PTSO.

Edwards Middle and Daniel High will continue using Hometown Ticketing for all ticket sales. Ticket prices for all 2022-23 athletic events will be $6 and will be open to purchase 3 days prior to each event. RCE Tickets (link)

Booster Club

The RC Edwards Athletic Booster Club supports all student athletic programs by purchasing equipment, uniforms, meals, maintenance, and many other things. On behalf of the faculty and staff at RCE, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season. As a reminder, there will be no school from December 19th through January 2nd. Students will return on Tuesday, January 3rd.

As a reminder, we operate on a 6-period day at Edwards Middle. This schedule allows for 1 hour in each period and the opportunity to participate in several related arts classes. This schedule has also allowed us to include several Pickens County Career and Technology courses for our 8th graders during second semester.
