College and Career Night is coming up on October 15th from 6pm-8pm at Adams High School!
You will need to download the StriveScan app to register and receive information from the colleges and institutions. Four-year and two-year colleges and universities will be in attendance, as well as trade programs, military representatives, and community-based programs.

Junior Year Required Testing
PSAT/NMSQT for Juniors
It's a standardized test that provides first hand practice for the SAT®. It also gives you a chance to enter National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC) and gain access to college and career planning tools.

Please read each college's testing policy as many have adopted "test optional or test flexible" admissions. This can mean different things at different colleges. Please be aware that scholarships may or may NOT fall under test optional and test optional can also be provisional (as sometimes it depends upon your high school GPA). It is your responsibility to know each school's policy and determine what is your best testing plan of action.

Each year students have an opportunity to work on Xello a post seconday planning and career platform for students with the counselors. Students are encouraged to spend further time outside of school researching and exploring future possibilities and career goals. Xello is a wonderful tool that promotes self awareness of skills and interest and an abundance of career and post secondary educational information to help students plan for the future.

3. Send your ACT/SAT scores to NCAA (code 9999)
Senior Year Scheduling
Scheduling will take place in the winter. If you haven’t already put some thought into what your senior year will look like, now is a good time. Remember college prep schedule should have least 4 hours of academics; selective colleges prefer 5 hours of academics. Don’t forget to include any graduation requirements. You must take English and math both semesters, and any other core, PE, health and/or VPAA’s needed to complete requirements.
