HAPPY SEPTEMBER
Hi Gadsden Families,
Its hard to believe that September is already here. I am pleased to report that our students have settled in well, reconnected with friends and teachers, and is engaging in their studies. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued partnership. Your support and involvement in your child's education are invaluable, and I am truly thankful to have each and every one of you as part of our school community. Our theme this year is "Soaring to Excellence" and we strive to live it everyday! To help our Blue Jays soar, our staff will focus on standards driven instruction, student engagement, curriculum implementation, and instructional practices. We look forward to the journey ahead. MEET THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR
My name is Rory Washington. I am the School Counselor at Gadsden Elementary School. I have had the pleasure of working with GES students, parents and the surrounding community since 2006. I love the students and their families, our staff, and the Blue Jay Team spirit. I am honored to work in such an awesome school. I am always available to parents, teachers, and students. Please do not hesitate to contact me if there are any needs.
Our character word for the month of September is βHonesty.β Students are learning that honesty means we are truthful in what we say and do. It also means people can rely on us because we have integrity and that it is the basis of a trusting relationship. Continue to partner with us and encourage your children to be
