A Note from Ms. Kraft
Hello families!!
Last week many of our students participated in feelings freeze dance! They discussed what different feelings looked like on our faces and bodies and danced as they embodied different emotions. This week they discussed what feelings were and why it's important to share how we are feeling with others. They then practiced sharing how they felt about something they had experienced that day.
By recognizing what our body is experiencing, it becomes easier to name the emotion. When we name that emotion to ourselves and others, it is easier to communicate what we may need or how we should handle that emotion in a way that helps us and others.
At home you could practice naming your own feelings (sad, happy, annoyed, etc) and voicing the choice you are making in response to that emotion allowing your student to recognize the connection between our feelings and our choices 🙂

Important Early Pickup Information
If you plan on coming to pick your child up early (before the 3:55PM bell on M, T, Th, and F or before the 2:25PM bell on Wed.), please note that we will NOT be calling into classrooms for kids during the last 15 minutes of the school day. This is due to all the movement and busyness of the end of the school day. Please plan on picking your child up before 3:40PM/2:10PM if you need to pick your child up early. And be sure to bring your ID!
A Note From Nurse Sherrie

EMERGENCY PREP CLASSROOM KITS
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2P5ZYTZZPH0K5...
**We are hoping to have these completely stocked and in EACH classroom/teaching space by the end of September! Please help us by purchasing a few items from our Amazon List and thanks to The Home Depot of Bothell, all the buckets have been donated and we will stock them as we receive the supplies. **
We learned last year that having these supplies readily available in classrooms is MUCH more beneficial in case of any type of emergency/precaution situations where students are inside their classrooms. Thank you for helping us make sure that all students and staff have all the materials they need to ensure safety on our campus!
