Christy's Column
Welcome to Christy’s Column, March 2022 Edition
Dear Students,
I’m excited to share that our PSYPREP events are up and running! In February, we hosted and collaborated with other units on presentations about Resume Writing, LinkedIn, Handshake, Careers in Sales at E & J Gallo, Career Fairs, and How to become a Child Life Specialist.
For March, I’m working on offering the following events: Becoming a Case Manager at the Department of Child Safety, Careers in Marketing, Careers in Human Resources/Recruiting, and Careers in the Insurance Industry. As these events finalize, they will be sent out over the PSYPREP listserv. In addition, I will continue to share events offered by other units as they are relevant.
If you have an idea for an event or want to learn about something specific related to career, professional, and graduate school preparation, please email me directly at christyw@email.arizona.edu. I will see what I can do!

My name is Vasanth Sathish and I lead the homeless outreach program through Medical Directive, a pre health organization at the University of Arizona which helps students get more involved in the community. In the past year, several members and I have gotten together to support the people experiencing homelessness in Tucson by handing out clothes, hygiene kits, and water bottles. Since we got this program set up and running, we are opening up the opportunity for everyone to join us, even if you are not a member. Additionally, we are collaborating with Gospel Rescue Mission to provide other opportunities for you to be involved! To gain more information, please complete this Google Form and I will follow up with another email with more information. We look forward to seeing and hearing from you!
