#R.O.A.R.ing into the new year! #WeArePalPark #TigerTough
Principal's Message
I hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday break and were able to recharge your batteries to kick off the new year strong! At PPHS, we are poised to R.O.A.R into the new year! January is a busy month filled with opportunities for us to put our best foot forward as a learning community. Benchmark exams will be administered this month. These exams help us predict student performance on state mandated exams but, more importantly, help us identify strengths and weaknesses so that we can more effectively help our students learn. We also have Midterm Assessments scheduled towards the end of the month. Both of these are opportunities for our students to shine! For more detailed information on these and other events in January, please check out our Upcoming Events section towards the end of this Newsletter.
With Tiger Pride!

☃️December Recap☃️
Student Achievement Spotlight
We are proud to acknowledge PPHS students who achieve high standards and those who continue to demonstrate improvement in pursuit of high achievement. Pictured above are students who earned Principal's List and Perfect Attendance as well as students who have improved their regular school attendance numbers. A group of students who are not pictured above but who cannot go unmentioned are this year's Korean Writing Contest Winners. 1st - 3rd place received scholarship awards!
Holiday Shoppe
PPHS National Honor Society members volunteered at the ECC and Lindbergh School Holiday Shoppe! This was a great opportunity for all involved as we continue to bring our schools and greater Pal Park community together!
Winter Concert
Our Chorus, Band, and Sound Tech talent was on full display at this year’s winter concert! Thank you to all who came out to support our student performers. It was a packed house!
Holiday Cheer
The spirit of the holiday season was in full effect at PPHS. Our community came together to participate in the Holiday Dressdown Calendar, Breakfast with Santa, and Door Decorating Contest! Winning doors are pictured above. We closed out 2023 with a celebratory Hot Cocoa Bar for the students and teachers who won the contest and the students who volunteered to take part in the voting process.
PPHS @ the American Dream Mall
The PPHS Drama Club, Dance Team, and Band performed at the American Dream Mall.
Ms. Morgese: Winner of 2024 Fulbright-Hays Group Projects Abroad to South Korea
Congratulations to Ms. Morgese who was selected out of a highly competitive pool of candidates to participate in the 2024 Fulbright-Hays Group Project to South Korea! Ms. Morgese will take a 28 day trip to South Korea during the summer to learn about Korean language, culture, geography, and the educational system. We are lucky to have one of our own represented in this trip! PPHS is proud of you and we are eager to learn from you when you return!
