on how the school year is going
Greetings from Tokyo International Progressive School
Hello and I hope you are staying cool. If so, what is your secret?
Our first PSA meeting this year will be Wednesday, September 6 at 1 p.m. I will be there and I hope to see each family represented there! There are three staff members who will be taking turns representing our staff this year at PSA meetings: Ms. Priya Pillai, Ms. Xaida Zyvatkauskas, and myself.
For those families who will be preparing for the SAT exam in the future, we will host a presentation by Ms. Sarah Gardiner on how to prepare and her services to help do so. Please use the link below to attend the zoom meeting Friday, September 8 at 7 p.m.
As always, any questions, please ask.
All the best,
Lyn Sato

STUDENT COUNCIL NEWS
by Alaska Balamurugan, Student Council Publicist
No one is more excited for the school year to start than TIPS students, except for their parents… nonetheless, our students have more than enough to be excited for, with our fantabulously fun student council events coming up!
First up in Serendipitous September, we have a bombastic BBQ, promising more than just a happy stomach, but also happy memories.
Filled with nothing but the freshest ingredients, we are sure that it’s going to be lit. Kids and adults alike will be lava-ing (loving) this iconic event, so make sure to make the most out of it, and eat until you explode!
Next up in Outrageous October, we have our annual costume contest, a door decorating contest, and a movie day! We can guarantee that these events will not leave them traumatized, the math teachers got that covered. Make sure to dress up in your finest costumes, as they will be judged, and a mystery prize will be awarded, not to mention the bragging rights.
These events will prove to everyone that TIPS is truly the best school to ever exist.
COUNSELOR OPEN HOUSE
October 14 would be an excellent Saturday to drop by the school if you are interested in knowing one of our counselors, Mr. Masahiro Shimokawa. He welcomes you, and can reserve time that day with you privately to understand your family's counseling needs. Please contact him at mshimokawa@tokyoiops.com to let him know you will be by.
