Happy February!
Dear Clifford,
Many families have been reaching out about return to school and vaccines for educators due to the recent media regarding these topics. While there are outlets publishing that educators are eligible for vaccinations, educators in our district have not been offered appointments for a vaccination. Unfortunately, news articles share information that doesn't paint the full picture of what it would look like for schools to open back up fully in person. We have had a few classrooms open at Clifford since November. These classrooms that opened were based on teachers who volunteered to return to teaching in person, and students in these classrooms were invited to come back in person if they wanted the opportunity. Only a few classrooms in the district opened under this model. We have since added two learning HUBs, one for 5-8 grade students and one for K-2 students. We are waiting for a more full re-opening based on a number of factors.
We appreciate the support and generosity of our community during these very difficult times. We eagerly await the day when we can open the school as we always have in the past. Our hearts are committed and our passion for teaching is unwavering, however the circumstances that are in front of all of us.
In partnership,
Jude
